The organizational backbone of the apartment is a linear circulation axis that connects the entrance with both the living zone at the southern façade and the bedroom facing the north. This uninterrupted spatial thread allows daylight to permeate from both ends, expands the perceived volume, and supports a fluid transition between private and public functions.
The project involved the division and complete renovation of an apartment of approximately 70 square meters, on the first floor of a centrally located seven-storey building, in the city of Thessaloniki.
These two 35 m² apartments, demonstrates how strategic design interventions can elevate urban compact living into an experience of comfort, clarity, and identity.
This apartment demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform a micro-unit into a highly livable urban residence. By employing strategic colour blocking, integrated storage, and a disciplined material palette, the project transcends its physical constraints and delivers a balanced, functional, and aesthetically coherent home. The result is a modern, compact dwelling tailored to the lifestyle of young professionals, short-term urban residents, or couples seeking a refined living environment in the heart of Thessaloniki.

The material and colour palette is intentionally restrained yet punctuated by warm, saturated tones. Most surfaces are white or light neutral, establishing a bright and airy envelope, while strategic colour interventions add architectural depth and orientation cues.
Warm wood flooring that runs consistently throughout the apartment, visually elongating the space and unifying the programmatic zones.
Given the 35 m² footprint, spatial efficiency was a primary design objective. The plan minimizes circulation space and consolidates service zones (kitchen, bathroom, washing machine niche) along a shared vertical line.
