This grid acts as both a visual order and a functional layer, supporting shading elements and cooling systems. Within this framework, panels of red, blue, and yellow are inserted asymmetrically, creating a dynamic yet controlled composition. The use of white as the dominant background reinforces the clarity of the geometry and enhances the contrast of the colored elements.

The perforated metal surfaces add depth to the façade while allowing light and air to pass through. The building’s form remains simple and rectilinear, ensuring that minimalism remains the primary architectural expression.

This three-story retail building is conceived as a compact urban residential project, accommodating eleven small studio apartments within a narrow plot. Its architectural identity is strongly influenced by the abstract compositions of Piet Mondrian, expressed through a clear system of horizontal and vertical lines combined with primary color accents.

The street façade is organized as a rigid grid, defined by black metal frames that extend across the openings and elevations.

Sleeping areas are subtly separated from the main living space through light partitions or furniture arrangements rather than full-height walls. This approach preserves openness while still offering a degree of privacy. Bathrooms are placed efficiently within the plan, using minimal space while maintaining comfort and functionality.

The interior material palette is deliberately restrained. Light-colored surfaces, such as white walls and marble flooring, enhance brightness and create a sense of spaciousness. Natural wood finishes introduce warmth and contrast, balancing the otherwise minimal environment.

Color is used selectively, echoing the façade’s reference to Mondrian. Individual studios incorporate bold accent walls in primary colors—yellow or blue—providing identity to each unit without overwhelming the space. These color elements are always framed within clean geometries, maintaining coherence with the overall design concept.

Internally, the building is organized around efficiency and clarity of space. Each of the eleven studios is designed as a compact unit, where living, sleeping, and working functions are integrated within a single open plan. The layouts prioritize flexibility and ease of use, making them suitable for short- or long-term urban living.

Built-in furniture plays a key role in maximizing usable space. Wooden elements, such as desks, kitchen units, and storage, are carefully integrated along the walls, reducing clutter and maintaining visual continuity. The kitchens are compact but fully equipped, typically arranged linearly to optimize circulation. In some units, small bar counters or dining surfaces also serve as workspaces.
