Construction of a summer Retreat in Corfu Island, Greece. The study concerns the design of a two storey summer house with a basement in northern Corfu, which will facilitate the needs of a four-member family, as well as those of additional visitors.

Distinctive, linear volumes give the impression of emerging through the rock and eventually float above the slope without interrupting the visual continuity of the natural environment.

Automated cooling, heating and ventilation systems, combined with the use of planted roofs and the fact that most of the structure is built under the ground, create a modern sustainable and bio-climatic family house.
